We had fun at Pathfinders on Wednesday night. It all started
with our regular opening ceremonies and a quick worship thought. Then it
was off to some practice drilling out in the courtyard grass area. Its
much easier to do an about-face in the grass than on carpet.
Finally, we began work on the Red Alert honor which is needed by the entire
Friend class to complete their curriculum. Thanks go to Mr. George Herber
for teaching this class for us. We have scheduled to have the induction ceremony this weekend at the Scottsdale/Thunderbird church, but due to issues with ordering uniforms not everyone will have their uniforms by then so we will have to delay this for a few weeks until everyone has their uniforms. There is a Pathfinder staff training session going on the weekend of the 15th. In this training the staff will be trained on the new investiture curriculum that we will be using this year. It is a new and exciting curriculum that was only rewritten a couple of years ago, so this will be new for all of us. Our first campout is coming up the last weekend of September. We will be camping at Canyon Point campground. The campground has full amenities including showers. If you wish to join the Pathfinders in their activities on this weekend you will need to turn in a volunteer data sheet to the conference office. The data sheet is for back ground checks of all volunteers with Pathfinders. Our next meeting, September 12, will be the last open enrollment night for the club until after the new year. If you know of anyone who wishes to join they must do so by the end of the club meeting that night. After that the club will be closed to new members until after the first of the year. Thank you to all for your support of the Pathfinder club!
