Ronald McDonald House
My time at Ronald McDonald House My blessing Saturday evening was at the Ronald McDonald house in central Phoenix. When I arrived at the dining room there were twelve families living at the Ronald McDonald House full time. Paradise Valley SDA Church members prayed and talked with the families. We cooked and served them dinner. For dinner we served vegetarian Asian food, chow mien, rice, and eggrolls. Rose from PV makes the best egg rolls and Dorothy Aycock made everyone feel welcome. The families were there because their kids are sick and are at the Children's Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home, for the families to be close to their kids while they are receiving treatment. They provide food and shelter for the families. I always feel good when I leave the Ronald McDonald House knowing that I was able to talk to the families. |
